My Story
Hi, I’m Andrea Bridgewater, founder of Ground Zone Inc. and a lifelong advocate for people, purpose, and possibility.

I’ve spent the past three decades helping organizations grow with intention, expand their impact, and secure the funding to do it. From leading national nonprofits through digital transformation to launching new offices across the country, I’ve been at the center of high-stakes, high-impact operations that demanded both strategy and heart.

My background spans nonprofit leadership, legal, rehabilitation, manufacturing, and workforce development. I’ve successfully secured millions of dollars in grants and funding along the way. Whether negotiating multi-market contracts, streamlining operations, or developing national training programs that put people back to work, I’ve learned one thing: meaningful growth takes resources, and those resources exist, you just need to know where to look.

That’s why I started Ground Zone Inc., to help businesses and mission-driven organizations access the public and private funding available to support hiring, innovation, expansion, and sustainability. I take pride in helping people bring their big visions to life without sacrificing their financial foundation.

But beyond strategy and operations, I’m also deeply committed to the causes that ground me. I’m a strong advocate for persons with differing abilities, nature and environmental protection, the humane treatment of animals, and the empowerment of women in leadership and life.

I was born and raised in Michigan and have spent much of my life traveling rural America, listening to the stories of business owners, community leaders, and everyday people who deserve a shot at building something better. These conversations have shaped my approach: thoughtful, direct, and driven by impact.

When I’m not working, I’m likely hiking in the woods, camping with my husband, or spoiling our rescue dogs and our cat. Nature has always been where I recharge, and I bring that grounded energy into every client partnership.

If you’re ready to grow your vision—and get the funding to match it—I’d love to be part of the journey.
